Alfa D.N.A.

Alfa D.N.A. is the exclusive Alfa Romeo drive selector that adapts perfectly to driving styles and road conditions.

The driver can switch between three driving modes, according to road conditions.

DYNAMIC. Gives priority to the Giulietta's performance and responsiveness: steering becomes more responsive, shifting is quicker and electronic control systems are discreetly engaged, leaving the driver free to enjoy the classic fun-to-drive Alfa Romeo.
NATURAL. Perfect on both urban and highway routes: dynamic behavior gives priority to comfort and efficiency.
ALL WEATHER. For use in bad weather and low traction conditions. The shift logic is gentler, and torque control is increased during acceleration to provide better grip.

 

Alfa TCT

The Alfa TCT (Twin Clutch Transmission) is Alfa Romeo's six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission which ensures a steady application of torque without loss of power during shifting. Shifting becomes quicker and more direct, resulting in an even more intense driving sensation.
Available with the 170 HP 1.4 MultiAir Turbo gasoline engine and the 240 HP 1750 TCT Turbo gasoline engine.

Infotainment

Stay connected to your world: the Giulietta's 5" display is equipped with the UconnectTM system, which links the car to your smartphone so you can listen to music via USB or AUX, and manage calls, text and media via Bluetooth speech recognition — without ever having to take your hands off the steering wheel.

Also available with a 6.5" display and built-in GPS navigation.

The Giulietta offers a Bose Hi-Fi Sound System® delivering more than 500 watts via an 8-channel amplifier and subwoofer in addition to the main speaker system which ensures superior listening quality for passengers.

 

Mechanics

Technology and safety are standard onboard the Giulietta: the front MacPherson and rear Multilink struts with active dual pinion steering are designed to give maximum balance to the car. They contribute to its dual personality: fun and sporty, while comfortably manageable at the same time. Alfa Romeo's engineering experience has given birth to a whole new architecture through the use of materials such as aluminum, magnesium and high-strength steel which provides both strength and weight reduction, and translates directly into superior performance.

Safety

The Giulietta offers total protection for driver and passenger as a result of 15,000 hours of calculations, 100 crash tests, 150 HyGe sled tests and more than 100 tests on components and subsystems. It was duly awarded Euro NCAP's prestigious 5-star rating with 97% rating in 'Passenger Safety'. The Euro NCAP safety report can be viewed here.

ACTIVE AND PASSIVE SAFETY:

Six airbags; three-point seatbelts with double pretensioner, load limiter, and ISOFIX attachments; collapsible steering column and pedals; and second-generation anti-whiplash system work to protect occupants in the event of an impact.

The Alfa's electronic Q2 limited-slip differential optimizes the transfer of engine torque to the wheels, which improves cornering and helps maintain trajectory even at high speeds or low grip.

Alfa Active Steering with Dynamic Steering Torque improves safety by suggesting the correct counter steering maneuver if the car loses grip, thanks to the interaction between the power steering and the ESC.

Pre-fill braking system reduces the stopping distance in emergency situations.

Hill Holder for easy uphill starts.

Daytime Running Light function turns on LED head lights automatically, while the AFS (Adaptive Frontlight System) automatically adjusts headlight beams according to the direction of travel.

Tire Pressure Monitoring System monitors tire pressures for both security and economic advantages.

 

Alfa and the Environment

The Giulietta has a range of Euro 6 petrol and diesel engines. Excellence is achieved with the MultiAir (170 HP, 1.4 TB MultiAir), which reduces emissions by up to 10% while maintaining high output values.

All engines in the range are equipped with a start-stop system for use in traffic and a gear shift indicator, suggesting the best moment to shift for optimal engine performance and efficiency.
